Marketing manages to be both common-sense and highly esoteric at the same time. It is a discipline that is constantly evolving, forcing marketers to be agile as well as curious. It is an industry that has constantly embraced technology. It is also a hugely collaborative, social and optimistic industry. Those are the reasons why I am a marketer.
I’ve had the privilege to learn about Marketing from some great agencies, advertising executives, brand managers, marketing directors and chief marketing officers. I’ve worked on all sorts of marketing projects for brands including; M&C Saatchi, McCann-Erickson, BBC-Worldwide, Comcast, Hutchison-Whampoa and Zipcar. More recently I’ve been focusing on sharing the experience and insight I have acquired growing brands and launching them around the world. At Floream (part of the Blenheim-Chalcot group) I was managing director of the IDM Online partnership, delivering professional qualifications in digital marketing, and then founding director of the ADBL (Academy of Digital Business Leaders), a range of learning programmes for senior executives who need to implement digital transformation.
As a marketing consultant, I now work with a range of clients in the mobile, app, edtech and fintech space. Typical projects include:
- Building the digital capability of a marketing team
- Content strategy and implementation
- Brand development and communication
- Marketing strategy and planning
- B2B and B2C lead generation
- Social media advertising
- Launching new brands and products
- Launching established brands in new territories
You might also still see me speaking about digital transformation, podcasting for ClickZ about digital marketing or delivering webinars.
If you’d like to see where I’ve worked then feel free to review my Linkedin profile. I’m always happy to connect, so do drop me a line and let’s grab a coffee (or a mint infused green tea if I’m feeling over-caffeinated).
